    Longkou vermicelli
  The well-famed Longkou vermicelli has a production
history of over 300 years. About 150 years   ago during the period of Emperor Xianfeng of the Qing   Dynasty, Longkou vermicelli began to be sold abroad.

  Longkou vermicelli take mung bean as the raw   materials and are produced with traditional   techniques. Longkou vermicelli is full of starch,   protein, vitamins and other kinds of nutrition elements   It is characterized by such advantages as being
  fine-spun, pliable, bright white, never mashed after a   long time of cooking. Its tastes smooth, gentle and   delicious, no matter when spot fried, pot-roasted,   boiled or eaten cold dressed with sauces. It is often   called by foreign friends as ¡°Glass Noodles¡±, ¡°the   Dragon¡¯s Beard¡± and ¡°Spring Drizzle¡±.

  Right now, the average annual export volume for   Longkou vermicelli is above 100,00 tons, and it has   ready markets in 80 countries and regions.

    The Shandong Pear
  The Shandong Pear is originated from Huangxian   County (the now Longkou city), so the name of   ¡°Huangxian Long-handle Pear¡±. Due to the fact that it   ¡°stands in an eminent position in big pear exporting, so the exported pear is often called   ¡°Shandong ¡°Pear¡±.

  The cultivation and planting of Shandong Pear started with the period of Emperor Kangxi of the   Qing Dynasty, a 260-year history. It is well-known for its thin peels, white residue, juicy sweetness   and crispness, rot resistant and better quality of preserved products.

  Longkou grapes
  Now, the production of Longkou grapes is growing very rapidly. It has become the material   production base for Yantai Zhangyu Grape Wine and Weilong Grape Wine. Among which, the   production, sales and processing base for Langao Town ultra-big grapes (an acreage of 100,00   mu)ultra-big grape production is well known far and near. The ultra-big grapes are big sellers, and   being sold in big cities all over the country.

Longkou prawns
The sea area around Longkou is an important area for prawn harvesting. Big in size, rich in meat and delicious in taste, Longkou prawn is one of the rare dishes on the banquet.
